Happy New Year, fellow gardener! Like you, we've been making plans, setting goals and daring to dream about what this fresh year might hold. We wanted to share some of what we hope to accomplish together this year, and open it up to any ideas that our readers (that's you!) might have to help us serve you better.201

Articles, Videos and Other Good Stuff
We've been hard at work through the fall to bring you 2 to 3 new articles written in house each week, and we plan to minimally sustain that pace. But we want to hear from you!
- If you're a gardener...
- If you're an expert at growing one or two things really well...
- If you have a beautifully landscaped yard that you put together yourself...
If you're a local blogger who's interested in doing a guest piece, This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it ! We'd be happy to link to your blog.
We're not looking for professional writers to write Pulitzer-winning garden articles (though if you can, so much the better). If you've got a knack for growing something and can string words together to form a coherent sentence, don't be shy!
Kids in the Garden
|
Wish we had an article about your plant or problem? We want to know! |
Keep an eye out for articles and videos on ways to involve the kiddies in your life in gardening. At the risk of sounding like a broken record, if you're interested in this area, let us know!
Connections with People
Getting people in the door (literally or figuratively) is a pretty important part of any business, and we want to see more people in the door in 2012. We are excited to be providing high-quality content, useful forums and a fun community for gardeners in Southern Oregon. If you're excited too...
- Tell 50 of your closest friends
Want to see the current sales and product offerings at local nurseries in one centralized location?
Tell your favorite nursery or garden center to GET ON RVG!
- Tell the checkout guy at your nursery or garden store
- Blab to someone at the growers markets
- Recommend us to your friends on Facebook! Tell 'em to "like" us!
Connections with Local Businesses
We've been testing out different platforms to offer a comprehensive business directory. Right now, our directory is just a list, but in the coming year, it will become far more than that. We look forward to offering businesses the opportunity to sponsor articles or sections, bring you specialized articles on their areas of expertise (like hydroponics or native plant gardening) and feature their sales and products.
We've talked to a lot of local nurseries, but we hope you'll mention RVG to your nursery or landscaper, and tell them you want to see them on the Rogue Valley Gardener.
